Case study: my own site, built in 2 days, for €0 of infrastructure per month
Before you commit, you want proof, not a promise. Here's what I built for my own site — the one you're reading right now — in 2 days of work, and why it matters for your project.
What was delivered in 2 days
- A bilingual FR/EN site with real dedicated URLs for each language (better SEO, better experience for your international visitors)
- A spam-protected contact form, connected to a real, secured database
- WhatsApp and direct call always accessible, not buried in a menu
- A project showcase with verifiable results rather than vague promises
- GDPR compliance designed in from the start: explicit consent, automatic purge of old data, declared subprocessors — not bolted on afterward in a panic
- An instant notification on every new message, so a prospect is never left without a reply
Zero-euro infrastructure cost
The technical stack (hosting, database, transactional emails, source code) stays at €0/month as long as traffic doesn't exceed the free tiers of the providers used. In practice: no infrastructure bill to absorb before your online activity generates real volume — and when it grows, scaling up happens in gradual steps (typically $20 to $45/month), never a sudden jump.
The next step: qualifying your prospects automatically
Once the site is in place, the natural next step is to stop handling every message by hand. I built, on this same site, an agent that:
- Talks with the visitor to understand their need
- Estimates a provisional quote from my own pricing grid
- Sends a copy of the exchange to the prospect (full transparency, nothing hidden)
- Sends me a structured report and a qualification notification
On top of that: privacy-respecting traffic tracking (no invasive cookie banner, no data reselling) and direct online booking, to eliminate back-and-forth emails.
Why I build on my own site first
Every building block I offer you, I run here first, in real conditions, with my own prospects and the real form you may have already used to contact me. No mockup, no isolated demo that doesn't survive the first edge case.
That has two concrete consequences for you:
- Proof, not a pitch. When I offer you a building block, I'm not showing you a slide — I'm showing you a system that's already running and already bringing me qualified leads, today.
- Problems already solved. Questions of reliability, security or GDPR compliance, I don't discover them on your billed engagement — I've already hit them and fixed them here, before offering them to you.
This principle ties into a requirement I apply to every architecture I build: you, the client, keep control — who sees your data, who decides, who can take back the reins if needed — and nothing locks you into a provider you couldn't leave. That's true for this site, and it will be true for yours.
What this means for your project
A showcase site with a centralized contact hub, plus an hour of training so you can update your own text and photos, is built in that same spirit — shipped fast, with no hidden technical debt, with GDPR compliance built in from day one rather than patched on afterward. If you want the same rigor for your business, check out the available tiers or contact me directly to discuss it.
